Indoors there are three connected halls, which are extremely elegant and refined. The largest hall is an oval room for 130/140 guests protected by glass windows that can be completely opened to turn the hall into a wonderful garden. There is a terrace on top with gorgeous views over the Tuscany countryside with the same capacity.

There is a long rectangular hall where an Imperial table for 62/64 guests can be organized. With round tables the capacity of this hall is max 100 guests. Its top terrace has the same capacity and boasts gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside and towns. The smaller hall can host 70 guests on round tables.
Musical entertainment is allowed outdoors until midnight, indoors until 1.00am.
The Villa is always rented with its luxury bedroom where Bride and Groom can spend their wedding night. If there are no events in the previous or following days the stay can be extended.

The villa’s historical gardens are credited with being the paradisal setting for the frame story of Boccaccio’s Decameron.
Queen Victoria chose Villa Palmieri as her vacation several times in the late 19th century.

Indeed in 1888, 1893 and 1894, Queen Victoria visited Florence and stayed at this Villa with some members of her government. She was visited there by the Italian King and Queen. Some labels on trees of the Villa park record the three visits of Queen Victoria to this gorgeous Villa.

All the wide hotel rooms are different from one another, their walls are painted with light colors made of soil and natural pigments, typical in Tuscany. Awnings and poster beds fabrics come from small Tuscan artisan weaving factories while eastern silks are used in the main floor rooms. The elegant rooms in the relais hotel main floor overlook the Chianti hills and have antique furniture and fabrics coming from Tuscan artisan weaving factories. The largest and most luxurious rooms are Junior Suites and Suites, Double Superiors are also very spacious, while Standards are really pretty, but less large and panoramic.

This majestic Villa is located on a rectangular terrace on the top of a hill near Florence.
The Villa located in one of the most beautiful parts of Tuscany, not many miles to the south of Florence, was built early in the sixteenth century, and if there be any truth in a persistent local tradition, it was designed by no less a person than Michelangelo.
The entrance is a magic boulevard surrounded by unique cypresses.

One of the most iconic elements of the Villa is the garden which is divided on two different terraces: the upper terrace where holm oaks, horse chestnuts and cypresses were planted in the 19th century; the lower terrace is an “Italian-style” garden with square-shaped flowerbeds and pots of lemons planted in XXX century.
In 1933 the property was purchased by the brothers Carlo and Giulio Marchi. The brothers completed the extraordinary architecture, restoring the original Michelangelo design.

In 1938, the famous landscape architect Pietro Porcinai created a rectangular swimming pool, in yellow and grey quartzite with a border in pietra serena, set in the lawn near the access road: the position of the pool was studied in such a way as to reflect the facade of the villa in the mirror of water.

They are filled with climbing roses, lilies, irises, and vine-covered pergolas. In the spring months the wisteria covers the Villa walls and walkways in a sea of purple. Fields of poppies and wild flowers contrast with cypresses, olive trees and vineyards, and geometrically shaped flowerbeds lined with box hedges surround the citrus garden.
Penelope Hobhouse, the internationally acclaimed garden designer, has called this Villa’s gardens ‘the epitome of garden design’, and has written that the flower garden is ‘one of the most beautiful in Italy‘.
The outdoor is wonderful and can host more than 200 people. All the areas are stunning for ceremony, cocktail, wedding party and dancing.
There is a Limonaia that can be used in case of bad weather. It can accommodate 95/100 people. A marquee is suggested to enjoy the beautiful outdoor spaces of the villa.
